Partnership is the foundation of my work and I work alongside you in a client-centred approach that utilises our strengths, experiences, and expertise.
Our partnership is important to me and confidentiality and safety are at the forefront of our work together.
You are the expert in your life I encourage you to bring forward your skills and experience as an active participant in our engagements.
Expertise
Ensuring the work we do together is grounded in evidence-based practices I utilise research and knowledge from formal training and qualifications I have achieved in psychology, counselling, addictions, learning and development, and business.
BA Counselling and Addictions Practice
GDip Arts Psychology
BA Applied Science & Business
Dip Positive Psychology & Wellbeing
I am accredited in a range of diagnostic assessment tools that we may use if applicable and appropriate for your circumstances.
Balance
Fulfilling my interests in and out of work is my key to optimal mental health and wellbeing. Importantly, this prevents me from burn out. Approaches for developing improved mental health and wellbeing are integrated in the work we’ll achieve together.
I acknowledge we all have interest and passions that provide meaning and purpose in our lives. I encourage you to engage with these aspects into your everyday lives to support us in nurturing and developing the many parts of who we are.
About me
Evidence tells us that healthy individuals lead to healthy communities, and this is what continues to fuel my passion for working with people and improving everyday lives.
It is an absolute honour to work across our Te Whanganui-a-Tara / Wellington communities as an Alcohol & Other Drugs clinician, and counsellor supporting people through some of their most challenging circumstances to achieving their biggest transformations.
In addition to working in the mental health sector, I have 15 years of corporate and executive experience supporting individuals, teams, and businesses across Aotearoa to thrive. As a coach and facilitator there is nothing more rewarding than seeing people find purpose and meaning at work making their work days significantly more enjoyable, engaging, and exciting.
Whānau is the most important aspect of my life and a significant part of my days are spent dedicated to being with them. My whānau are the primary driver behind the work that I do and my hope is that this generation and those that follow get to increasingly benefit from communities that are just, equitable, and increasingly embrace the many diverse ways of knowing, being, and doing.
I live in Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington’s south coast community and love adventuring across our vibrant and diverse suburbs throughout the region.
Our blue and green spaces are important to me and I spend as much time as I can in these beautiful natural places soaking up all the goodness they provide.
